Ziye Wang

Biography
Ziye is an undergraduate majoring in Bioinformatics and Mathematics at Peking University. He is completing his undergraduate thesis in Aster Lab, where he works on coalescent-aware estimation of species tree branch lengths directly from sequence alignments.
Previously, he has worked on gene drives with Prof. Jackson Champer, Bayesian phylogenetics with Prof. Chi Zhang, and ancestral recombination graphs with Prof. Rasmus Nielsen. He is broadly interested in evolutionary genomics, with addtitional interests in Bayesian statistics and stochastic processes in population genetics.
